Beyond Fitness has a wealth of experience in working with athletes who need to improve performance and avoid, or recover from injury. We work with golfers, footballers, dancers, runners and lacrosse players who are professional athletes or weekend warriors.

The biomechanical principles used are the same for all sports. The athlete will progress through specific phases (Flexibility, stability, strength and finally power) which will enhance physical performance, musculoskeletal alignment and physiological function.

Often typical treatment of an injured athlete is a short term fix, so they can return to their chosen sport as soon as possible. This treatment plan often fails, as many athletes have to return a few weeks or months later with the same injury or worse. Clinically I have seen runners who have supposedly recovered from an ankle sprain, still limping two years later!!

We at Beyond Fitness truly believe that prevention is far better that curing a symptom.
